About Refugee Host Support

We are an organisation established by passionate people with over 25 years of international experience in supporting households to welcome strangers into their homes, giving them security, care and hope.

Our background is in providing foster care to vulnerable children and young adults and supporting those with the challenging and rewarding task of caring for them. We believe that the knowledge and skills accrued over decades is invaluable as we support the hosting arrangements. In addition, the team, and our associates, have experience of supporting refugees in many settings. We believe this mix of experience and expertise gives us a unique opportunity to create a service that meets your needs.

Kerry’s passion for travel whilst studying led to 10 years as an air stewardess before settling down to have children. Kerry then spent many years teaching in schools both primary and secondary and often supported children with additional emotional/learning needs. Kerry’s experience then led to roles within social care as a practitioner and manager. Kerry has an in-depth understanding of local authority governance, leadership, and commissioning procedures.
